Rosemary

Rosemary is a fragrant evergreen shrub native to the Mediterranean known for needle-like leaves, blue or purple flowers, and culinary uses. Rosemary is a favorite herb for many cooks, it can be used to flavor meats, roasted vegetables, stews, soups and breads. It can also be used as an essential oil to provide a clarifying herbal fragrance. It is used in diffusers, skin care, aromatherapy and in landscaping as well. It is also a popular ornamental garden or container plant that is also deer resistant.

·       Sunlight: Requires 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight daily.

·       Soil: Needs loose, well-draining soil; excess moisture causes root rot.

·       Watering: Allow soil to dry completely between waterings; highly drought-tolerant once established.

·       Thrives outdoors as a perennial in USDA zones 8 through 10, but needs indoor protection in freezing weather.
