Danvers Half Long is an heirloom variety with 6-8 inch long bright orange roots. Danvers Half Long's work with heavy or clay soil and have a sweet crisp flavor and are a great variety for storage. It was developed in Danvers, Massachusetts, in the 1870s.
Days to Maturity: 65 to 75 days.
Sun Requirement: Full sun.
Plant Spacing: Thin seedlings to 2 to 3 inches apart in rows spaced 12 inches apart.
Sowing Depth: 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep.
Germination: 10 to 21 days in moist soil.
Biennial but can also be grown as an annual.
